Go big or go home!  Well you might already be home!  Big islands continue to be an important design element in our kitchen designs.  There is no better place to entertain than around  a huge kitchen island.  You know your guests always end  up there anyway and with a large island there is room to cook AND to entertain.   Often there is room for a second prep sink and an under counter beverage refrigerator as clients continue to casually entertain and invite guest to make themselves at home.

Oversize Islands

Clean lines, minimal clutter is all the rage in home design.

But when it comes to the kitchen we all have gadgets and everyday appliances that get used but are visually busy, busy, busy.

We have been designing a lot of custom cabinets and having our cabinet maker build appliance garages that function as mini work stations. These areas are the work horses of the kitchen but you would never know what is going on behind closed doors!

Custom Coffee Stations for Every Kitchen!

Trending. Mid-Century, clean lines, medium wood tones, brushed nickel and neutral color palettes.  Even if you’ve lived through this design trend once before, this time around it just seems to be a little more sophisticated.  We designed this kitchen using grain match Douglas Fir, simple hardware, neutral counter tops and a fun but suble nod to mid-century backsplash tile.  Understated, but stated.  Enjoy more of this house here.

Trending! Mid-Century Modern

The kitchen, it’s the center of your home and the place we all hang out.  So having a TV in the kitchen is always handy to watch cooking shows or catch up on the news, but how do you create a space for them AND have an attractive kitchen for entertaining?  The technology of flat screen TVs has really opened up the ability to tuck these in a non-conspicuous space.  This kitchen features an "above the cook top" TV cabinet. This TV is mounted on an articulating arm allowing it to pull out and swivel to face the dinette or the island.  When closed, you never would know its there.

The Hidden Television

We love white trim, white cabinets and we also love how fresh a color on the walls can really make a trim package pop.  The bead board and coffered ceiling, windows, doors and cabinets really stand out with this fresh blue.

With the trend of grey, grey and more grey clients are moving towards a little more color these days. But we still love our white wood work!.  Whether color shows up in rugs, pillows, artwork or a strong color pop the wall, it important that the color story be consistent and connected in your house.

Color Impact!

What’s hiding in your closet?  Nothing is more satisfying than creating an organized closet, and we love to create custom closet designs. This featured closet allowed enough room for us to design a center island and drop a chandelier for impact. A combination of open and closed storage keep things looking neat and tidy!

This closet features white cabinets with crown moulding.
